Many of our cardiologists are involved in major national research trials, participating in both drug studies and device studies to determine more effective cardiac care and treatments. From the latest pharmaceutical treatments to such advanced equipment as the distal protection device, we study new compounds and devices to determine how we can improve the lives of our cardiac patients. In addition, we often follow these same patients for several years to measure long-term effects and track any adverse events. This enables us to determine the safest, most effective treatment regimens for our cardiac patients.
