Throughout his career, Dr. Hartman has assumed a position of medical leadership at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He has served as Chairman of the Division of Cardiology Services, Director of Intermediate Care and Telemetry Units and Director of the Critical Care Unit. He served as an associate professor of medicine at the Eastern Virginia Medical School and President of the Medical Staff at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He enjoys golf, tennis and skiing, as well as volunteering his time to teach cardiac interventional techniques to physicians in other countries.
