Dr. Old assisted in the development of the Cardiac Transplant Program at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and currently serves as director of its Coronary Care Unit. He has been involved with medical research studies that have benefited patients with congestive heart failure and acute coronary syndromes. He is active in educating students and residents at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. In his leisure time he enjoys skiing and sailing with his family.
