Ian Woollett, MD attended medical school at the University of
Colorado (1992). He completed an Internal Medicine residency
at the University of Washington in Seattle (1996), a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Yale University (2002), and a Fellowship in Cardiac
Electrophysiology at Columbia University/ New York Presbyterian Hospital (2004). Prior to joining Cardiovascular Associates, he served as an Associate
Professor of Medicine at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical
Cardiac Electrophysiology.
He has extensive training and expertise in the management of cardiac arrhythmias and prevention of sudden cardiac death, with special interests
in catheter ablation of tachyarrhythmias including ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation as well as implantation and management of both
pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Woollett is accepting new patients and is available for patient consultations and diagnostic testing at our
Chesapeake
and Virginia Beach offices.
